Week 9 / Semana 9

Esta semana, se re-encontaron los hermanos. Sebastian no cabia en su pellejo de la emocion de ver a Auggie. Llegamos a la casa y apenas me vio empezo a gritar Mama!! (una vez no mas), ni un segundo mas tarde cuando vio a Auggie, empezo a gritar (con voz de felicidad absoluta) Auggie, Auggie, Auggie, Auggie (Gracias por extranarme hijo, penso la pobre olvidada madre - en modo victima. Para no perder la costumbre ;)).

Sebastian estuvo super activo durante la semana, pintando un regalo para Nana (su bisabuela), jugando en el barro, explorando la nueva actividad del hermano (Saltarin), descubriendo caballos, chivos, ovejas y demas bichos, haciendo nuevos amigos, tocando instrumentos, y en general disfrutando y haciendo locuras. Fue un a semana intensa, tratando de saldar con el enano los dos fin de semanas que no estuvimos juntos.

Y mientras tanto Auggie; el vive la vida tranqui, descubriendo su nuevo "juguete". El saltarin que uso Sebastian cuando tenia 5 meses. Auggie lo esta usando mas temprano y a diferencia de su hermano...le recontra encanta, se puede pasar largos ratos tranquilo, saltando o mirando al mundo desde el dintel de la puerta. El chiqui es de lo mas tranqui y se la pasa sonriendo a quien le de pelota. Solo llora si tiene sueno, y si tiene hambre comienza a hacer sonidos con su boca.


This week the two brothers reunited. Sebastian was all excited to see Auggie again. We arrived home and as soon as he saw me, he started yelling Mama!! (only once). Not even after a second when he saw Aggie, he started yelling (with absolute happiness) Auggie, Auggie, Auggie, Auggie (thanks for missing me, thought the poor forgotten mother - in a victim mode- So as not to fall out of practice ;))

Sebastian was super active during the week, he painted a present for Nana (his great grandma), played with mud, explored his brother's new activity (johnny jump up), discovered horses, goats, sheep and other creatures, made new friends, played instruments, and just enjoyed his life. It was an intense week trying to recover the last two weekends that we were not together.

In the meantime, Auggie keeps living a quiet life, discovering his new "toy". The johnny jump up that Sebastian used when he was 5 months old. Auggie is using it a little bit earlier and unlike his brother...he loves it!. He can stay a long time on it, just jumping or looking at the world from the hallway entrance. He is a calm guy and smiles to whoever looks at him. Only cries if he is tired. And if he is hungry he makes sounds with his mouth.

Su abuela Grace le mando un vaso de Toy Story, Sebastian anduvo mirandolo por todos los angulos. Fue un poco dificil por el no jugar con el vaso y tomar su agua en el.
His Grandma Grace sent him a Toy Story cup, Sebastian was examining the cup from different angles. It was a little bit hard for him not to play with the cup and just drink his water there.

En la tarde del Sabado nos fuimos a despedir a la tia Jen que se iba de licencia de maternidad. El enano se puso a jugar con el sombrero de Emilio poniendoselo de distintas maneras.
Saturday afternoon we went to say goodbye to Tia Jen who is going on maternity leave. The little one was playing with Emilio's hat wearing it on different ways.

Nana, la bisabuela de Sebastian y Auggie lee el blog cada domingo. Sebastian le hizo un dibujo para mostrarle cuanto nos motiva que ella siga el blog y cuanto la queremos. TE QUEREMOS MUCHO NANA!!!

Nana, Sebastian and Auggie's great grandma visits the blog each Sunday. Sebastian painted something for her, to show her how much she motivates us to continue with the blog and how much we love her. WE LOVE YOU VERY MUCH NANA!!!

Y despues de unos minutos nomas, el loco se fue a jugar con barro. And after only a few minutes, the crazy one went to play with mud.

Y asi se lo llevo el papa a banar con la manguera. And this is how his father took him to bathe him with the hoose 

Luego de volver de su bano, empezo a jugar con Auggie y a tocar el xilophono que le regalaron los Calero- Alvarez.// After coming from his bath, he started playing with Auggie and playing the xylophone that the Calero-Alvarez gave him.

En la tarde, nos fuimos a una granja a ver unos caballos. Sebastian decidio que era tiempo de ponerse sus lentes de sol.// In the afternoon, we went to a farm to see horses. Sebastian decided that it was time to wear his sun glasses.

Weekly picture / Foto de la semana

Auggie empezo a usar su saltarin. Al enano le encanto. Se paso largo rato saltando y haciendo caras (como las dos de abajo: Soy muy malo!! y Soy muy bueno!!) y mostrando su calva benedictina (como le llama su papa). Parece que esta dentando porque no deja de babear y morder todo lo que encuentra a su paso.

Auggie started using his johnny jump up. He loves it!. He was a long time jumping and making faces (like the ones at the bottom: I am a bad boy!! I am a good boy!!!) and showing his benedictine bold spot (as his dad calls it) It seems that he is teething because he is drooling a lot and bites everything that comes across his mouth.

Mirando al sol, regalo de Valentin V.P (que tiene 3 anos), quien cuando lo fuimos a visitar, se fue a su cuarto y saco de su cama el sol para Auggie. Looking at the sun, a present from Valentin V.P (3 years old), who when we visited him, went to his room and brought the sun for Auggie.

Con ropa, sin ropa, igual contento / With or without clothes, he is always happy.

Esta semana los hermanos anduvieron separados, uno por el Congo, otro por los desiertos Chadianos. Ando con trabajo a mil, pero no queria atrasarme mucho con las fotos de la semana. Solo quiero hacer notar, que dejo a mi hijo en manos del padre una semana, y me lo encuentro calato mostrando sus dotes en publico y chupando, habrase visto!!!

Auggie

  Auggie, estuvo muy feliz con su tia Carolina (una vieja amiga que encontramos en el Chad y que ahora anda por los Congos), se le caia (literalmente) la baba por ella. Creo saber porque ;) Aunque debo decir, que leche, no iba a encontrar :S

Auggie was very happy with his Tia Carolina (A very good friend we met in Chad and who lives now in Congo), he was drooling for her (literally). I think I know why ;) I have to say, he was not going to find any milk over there :S

Auggie, estuvo escuchando por largo rato a unos musicos Congoleses que cantaban un monton de musica Cubana.

 This weeks the two brothers were apart, one in Congo and the other one exploring the Chadian dessert. I am full with work, but I did not want to get to behind with this week's pictures. I just want you to notice that I leave my older son for one week with his father, and I found him naked showing his intimate parts to everybody and drinking alcohol. Unbelievable!!

Auggie y yo estamos en el Congo (Kinshasa). Los congoleses son tannn exhuberantes, tan distintos a los otros paises africanos. Las mujeres usan unos tocados churrigerescos y modernos, unas ropas con modelos que no he visto en otros lados. Para mi los Congoleses son los caribenos de latinoamerica, ruidosos, chirriantes, musicales..... Auggie, muestra su cama de hotel esta semana. Lamentablemente no he podido tomar muchas fotos, espero que eso cambie en la semana. Mi colega Gbenro (en una de las fotos)nos tomo una foto juntos, yo pense que me estaba incluyendo en la foto, pero era solo para Auggie. Lo que si es claro, es que la humedad de por aca le cambiado el peinado pajaro loco al chiqui. Ahora tengo una mejor idea de como se vera cuando se le achaten los pelos.





Auggie and his mom are in Congo (Kinshasa). The Congolese are so exuberant, so different to the other African countries. Women use this huge hairdos, modern and very rococo, clothes with models that I have not seen in other countries. Auggie shows his hotel bed this wee. unfortunately I have not had much time to take pictures. I hope that will change during the week. My colleague Gbenro (in a picture above) took a picture of Auggie and me, I thought it was a pic of the both of us, but it was just Auggie. What is clear if=s that the humidity here is changing Auggie's woody wood pecker hairdo. Now I have a better idea of how the little one will look when his hair goes down.

Antes de partir al Congo, Sebastian recibio el regalo de su Abuela Grace. Un gorro de Woody de Toy Story. Como siempre, Sebastian compartio con Auggie y estaba tratando de ponerle el gorro al pobre enano. Sebastian tambien estuvo pintando con las hojas del abecedario que le mando su abuelo Rollie.








Before departing to Congo, Sebastian received a present from his Grammy Grace. A Woody hat (from Toy Story). As usual, he wanted to share with Auggie. he was trying to put the hat on the suffering little brother. Sebastian also was painting the drawing ABC sheets that his grandpa Rollie sent to him.

This week we had our office party. The kids had fun and Sebastian was all over the place.
Esta semana tuvimos una fiesta en la oficina. Los enanos se divirtieron y Sebastian estuvo andando por todos lados durante la fiesta.
