Haitians are very serious about their carnival celebration. So serious, that the government gave 3 days of holidays for the occasion. We took advantage of the days off and went to an island located in the south part of the country: Ile a vache (The cow's island). We did not see a single cow in the island, but the place was beautiful with bluish/turquoise waters depending of the sun's intensity. The kids had a great time. Sebastian is already asking: Beach again!! The boys played with a dalmatian called Princess, as soon as they spotted her, they followed her, they made friends, swam like ducks and got some color :). Sebastian in particular enjoyed the boat ride from/to the island. He was very focus, looking for sharks and whales.
