Auggie, keeps growing. We do not have our chair and our house props, but we managed to put something together :)

Week 25/52 Semana 25/52

Esta semana fue bastante entretenida. La tia Maria y sus enanos vinieron a visitarnos, fuimos al Zoologico, visitamos a la bisabuela y jugamos con las vecinitas que son super simpaticas (Ashley y Katie). Llaman al papa de Jason: Vecino (no por su nombre, sino, vecino), es muy gracioso escucharlas preguntando algo empezando la frase con: Vecino, puedo agarrar este libro? Vecino, puedo tocar el piano?

Sebastian y su primo Milo tienen una relacion amor-odio que es muy divertida. Algunos dias (como el dia que vinieron a visitarnos) es puro odio, hasta se pelearon tipo kashaskan y todo. Durante la visita al zoologico, estuvieron agarraditos de la mano, y el otro dia, jugaban como si fueran los mejores amigos del mundo :)

This week was full of activities. Aunt Maria come with her children to play with the boys, we went to the Zoo, visited Nana and played with the next door neighbors. They little neighbors are very cute (Ashley and Katie), they call Jason's dad not by his name but by the name Neighbor. It is very funny to hear them saying: neighbor, can I play the piano?, Neighbor, can I take this book?

Sebastian and his cousin Milo have a hate-love relationship, sometimes they loved each other, and sometimes (like they day they come for a visit) they were fighting all the time. During the visit to the zoo, they were holding hands, and the other day, they were playing like best friends :)

Week 24/52 // Semana 24/52

Esta semana, la familia de Jason vino al rescate y nos ayudo a armar algunos de los muebles que compramos en Ikea. Nos tomo todo el fin de semana, pero al menos las cosas importantes ya estan armadas y listas para ser enviadas.

Esta semana se celebro el 4 de Julio. El papa de Jason compro fuegos artificiales para prenderlos con todos los chicos. Sebastian (me cuentan, porque yo andaba durmiendo con Auggie), se la paso bomba. Se reia todo nervioso y cada vez que reventaba algun cueton se iba alrededor de un arbusto y le daba vueltas y vueltas carcajeandose. (tambien vienen...fotos)

El sabado fuimos al mercado de productores y pasamos un parque donde Sebastian estuvo feliz con un riachuelo que habia alli.

This week Jason's family came to the rescue and helped us to put together a lot of the furniture we bought at Ikea. It took us the whole weekend, but at least all the important things are done now and ready to ship.

This week 4th of July was also celebrated. Jason's dad bought fireworks to play with the children. Sebastian (i have been told, because I was sleeping with Auggie), had a great time. He was laughing crazily the whole time. And every time they lighted a firework, he will run to a bush and run around it several times laughing out loud (coming soon...pictures)

On Saturday we went to a farmer's market and in the way back we stopped at a little park that had a stream. He was very happy to be so close to water.

Week 23/52 // Semana 23/52

Solo despues de liberarme de la giardia, de recuperarme (al menos un poco) de los cambios de horario y de tener mas o menos claro como organizarnos entre los 4 puedo volver a subir algunas fotos de nuestros primeros dias en los Estados Unidos (a las 11.44 pm :S). Las vacaciones nuncan son muy sencillas. Estos dias siguen siendo de locos, tratando de armar una casa sin saber como sera la casa. Comprando muebles como loca para que puedan partir a Haiti. Pero no me quejo mucho es rico estar en familia y ver a los enanos jugar con sus primos y departir con sus tios, abueloas, abuelas y bisabuela.

Only after getting off the giardia, recover (at least a little bit) from the jet lag and having more and less some clarity on how to get organized (the four of us) I can upload some pictures of our first days in the US (at 11:44 pm :S) Vacations are never easy, these days are stil very hectic, trying to put together a house whithout knowing where we will be living. Buying furniture like crazy to ship it to Haiti. But I do not complain, it feels really good to be among family and see the boys playing with their cousins and having time with their uncles, aunts, grandpas, grandmas and their great grandma.

Week 22/52 // Semana 22/52

Y se acabaron nuestras aventuras por estas tierras, salimos manana hacia los Estados Unidos a visitar a la familia de Jason y presentar a Auggie en sociedad. Luego, nos vamos a Haiti a comenzar nuestras andanzas por alla.

And our adventures in Chad come to an end. Tomorrow we leave to the US to visit Jason's family and to introduce Auggie to society there :), after we will go to Haiti to start a new journey over there.

Week 21/52 // Semana 21/52

Casi nuestra ultima semana por aca. Casi nada de fotos y no muy buenas, pero al menos seguimos. Pasamos un dia del padre tranquilo, comiendo chanchito que estuvimos guardando por semanas para la ocasion (nuestro proevedor de chancho no siempre tiene el producto). Sebastian y yo pintamos una camiseta para que Auggie la luzca por el dia del padre (no sale muy bien en la foto).

Sebastian es hincha total del Rey Leon, se cree leon, pero no necesariamente Simba, sino su papa: Mufasa. La primera vez que la vio vino encogido de hombros, mirando al suelo, con una voz tristisima y dijo: Mama, papa roarrr ohh nooo!! las vacas mama, papa roarrr ohh noo!! En su idioma nos contaba que los "Wild beasts" (-no encuentro la traduccion en castellano, pero son una especie de ciervos muy grandes) habian matado al rey Mufasa, y que era una pena. El las llama Vacas :).

Asi que como anda rugiendo a todo el mundo, decidi hacerle unas unas de leon, la idea la saque de un blog, donde alguien habia hecho eso para su hija que queria ser carnivora. Sebastian rugia con sus unas y se diviritio mucho cuando yo me puse las unas y su papa y y jugabamos a repetir la escena donde los leones usan sus garras para luchar.


Almost our last week here in Chad. Almost no pictures, and not very good ones, but at least something not to break the process. We had a quiet father's day. We ate pork that we saved for a few weeks for the day (our pork provider does not have pork all the time). Sebastian and I painted one of Auggie's onesies, so that Auggie could wear that for Jason during father's day (you cannot really see it in the pic).

Sebastian is fan N#1 of the Lion King, he thinks he is a lion, but not necessarily Simba, but his father: Mufasa. The first time he saw the movie, he come looking to the ground and with his shoulders down, and with a very sad voice he said: Mama, papa roarr ohhh nooo!!! the cows Mama, papa roarrrr ohhh noooo!!! In his language he was saying that the wild beats had killed Mufasa, and that was very sad. He calls the wild beasts cows :).

He roars to everybody now. I decided to gave him lion claws. I took the idea from a blog, where a mother did that for her daughter that wanted to be a carnivore. Sebastian roared with his claws and had fun when I wore them and me and his dad re-enacted a part of the movie where the lions used their claws to fight :).
