Week 27/52 Semana 27/52

Sebastian and Auggie were invited to a Pirate Party. Their friend Kiran was turning 4 and we were told to dress the kids like pirates. We had a lot of fun. The kids were playing Pirates even before going to the party. Sebastian asked me to made pirate hats to his toys, so all of them could also be pirates :). It was fun, and even a week after the party Sebastian is still taking about the Pirate Party. He is also asking when it will be time for him to have a birthday party with cake (of course).

Sebastian y Auggie estuvieron invitados a una fiesta de Piratas. Su amigo Kiran cumplia 4 anos, y las instrucciones en la invitacion decia que teniamos que ir vestidos como piratas. Los chicos se estuvieron divirtiendo incluso antes de la fiesta. Sebastian me pidio que haga gorros de piratas para sus juguetes, para que ellos tambien puedan ser piratas :) Fue muy divertido, y ahora, despues de una semana el enano me sigue preguntando por la fiesta y sobre cuando sera su turno de tener una fiesta con torta :) (tora, por supuesto, es lo que mas le interesa).

Week 26/52 Semana 26/52

I went to the field to visit some projects with a delegation visiting Haiti. I had the opportunity to get a special permit to enter to the Notre Dame Cathedral, still completely destroyed by the 2010 earthquake.
The boys are re-discovering Toy Story. Auggie says Voody (woodie), Jessy, Buy (Buzz) and roarrr (T-rex).

Fui al campo con una delegacion que estuvo de visita por Haiti. Tuve la oportuniadd de entrar a la destruida catedral de Puerto Principe, que sigue igual como quedo despues del terremoto del 2010.
Los chicos andan re-descubriendo Toy Story. Auggie dice Voody (woodie), Jessy, Buy (Buzz) and roarrr (T-rex).

La Catedral por dentro / The Cathedral
Saqueadores robaron una de las campanas de la Catedral y la estaban vendiendo en e-bay. El obispo decidio sacar todas las campanas hasta la reconstruccion de la nueva Catedral.
Looters stole one of the Cathedral bells and were selling it on e-bay. the bishop decided to remove all the ell until rebuilding the new Cathedral.

Week 24/52 Semana 24/52

Sebas went to see the place where he will go for his day camp next week. He loved (again) and made (sort of) a new friend. They told us that there will be 30 kids on his age group.

Auggie had fun at a friend's swimming pool, Sebas stole my friend's Ice cream, but at least shared with his friend. We found out that he likes pistachio ice cream :)

Sebas fue de visita al lugar donde ira de vacaciones utiles la semana que viene. Le encanto (de nuevo) e hizo (mas o menos) un nuevo amigo.

Auggie se la paso bomba en a piscina de un amigo (Sebas se quedo dormido). Sebas se choreo el helado de mi amiga, pero al menos compartio con su amiguito.Descubrimos que le gusta el helado de pistachio.

Week 23/52 Semana 23/52

Playa, playa playa. Nos fuimos a una playa que nunca habiamos ido antes. Se llama Indigo, y dicen las malas lenguas que hace muchos años esta playa era parte de los Club Med resorts. Los chicos se divirtieron, pero a mi me parecia muy grande y me daba un poco de nervios dejar a Sebastian loqueandose en el agua solito. Las otras playas a las que hemos ido so generalmente mas chiquitas y siempre tengo al crio a la vista :)

Auggie es un mataperro que se trepa a todo lo que encuentra, ya se ha dado unos zapallazos fuertes esta semana. Tuvimos que mover los muebles porque lo encontramos subido al lado de la pescera.

Beach, beach, beach. We went to a beach that we have not gone before. Its name is Indigo, a rumor has it that this was a former Club Med Resort. The boys had fun, but to me it was a little bit too big, and I was getting anxious letting Sebastian go to the water by himself. The other beaches we have visited are generally smaller and I can see the kids all the time :)

Auggie is a little troublemaker that climbs whatever is in front of him, he has had some very good falls this week. We had to move the furniture because we found him climbing to be next to the aquarium
