Week 43/52 Semana 43/52

Ando re-atrasada, y esta semana es muy especial. Nuestro Auggie cumplio un anho. Lo celebramos en casa los 4, unas horas antes de salir hacia Virginia a encontranos con toda la familia. Auggie abrio su unico regalo, un libro de Corduroy que Nana le mando con muuucha anticipacion. Sebastian fue quien gozo mas con el libro. Llegando a Virginia nos fuimos el Domingo a una mini reunion familiar en la casa de mi tio Huaro. Los enanos conocieron a su primos Marco, Benji y Anika y se reecontraron con su prima favorita del mundo mundial Betty Sue :). El Sabado toda la familia se corto el pelo, mi hermana tiene las fotos, yo era parte del grupo trasquilado :(, asi que a esperar las pruebas no mas.

My camera battery died, luckily I have my uncle Huaro and my cousin Ann who gave me pictures of the kids during our week in the US.

 I am super behind, and this week was a special one. Our Auggie turned one. We celebrated at home just the four of us, a few hours before flying to VIriginia to meet our family. Auggie opened his only present of the day, a Corduroy book that Nana sent him long ago. Sebastian was the one enjoying the book, at least for the time being. On Sunday we went to a mini family reunion at my uncle Huaro's house. The boys met their cousins Marco, Benji and Anika, and reconnected with their favorite cousin Betty Sue :). On Saturday the four of us got hair cuts, my sister has the before and after pictures, we will wait for them.

La bateria de mi camara murio, felizmente mi tio Huaro y mi prima Ann vinieron al rescate y me mandaron fotos de los chicos la semana quee stuvimos en los Estados Unidos.

Week 42/52 // Semana 42/52

Auggie is a crazy active guy. He loves to play in the toilet and has been involved in some silly accidents because of his thirst to new experiences and knowledge :). The guys were playing football with Jason in the garden, it was very funny to see Auggie trying to keep upwith the "big guys".

Sebastian has reinforced his love for trains, we built his first track and he literally spent like 2 hours just playing with the train, moving the "chu chu" around the track.


Auggie es un nino loco muy activo. Leencanta jugar en el water y ha tenido varios accidentes por andar explorando y probando nuevas cosas. Los chicos estuvieron jugando futbol con Jason en el jardin, fue gracioso ver a Auggie tratando de seguir el ritmo de los "grandes"

Sebastian ha aumentado su amor por los trenes, construimos su primera linea ferroviaria y literalmente estuvo dos horas jugando con el tren, moviendolo por los rieles diciendo "chuu chuu"

Week 41/52 // Semana 41/52

Esta familia empaco sus cacharpas y se fue rumbo a la playa a pasar el feriado largo de Todos Santos. Nos fuimos a un pueblo chiquito que se llama Marigot. Cerca de Jacmel, la segunda ciudad mas grande de Haiti.

Sebastian, para variar se la paso bomba en la playa. El estaba feliz de ir a la "Casa de Nemo". Exploramos un par de playas, paseamos por el pueblo y comimos rico pescado y langosta por 3 dias seguidos. Uno de los platanos tipicos de Haiti es el "Lambi (Conche)". Me dijeron que era caracol y yo andaba de lo mas entusiasmada de probar caracol (una de mis comidas marinas preferidas). Pero resulto ser el caracol grandote (lobatus gigas si quieren buscarlo en google), ese de caparazon linda que usamos de adorno y donde escuchamos el mar :). Igual estaba rico, pero me dejo con las ganas de caracolito chiquito, durito con textura de borrador.


This family got all its stuff and left for the beach to spend the long holiday of All Saints Day. We went to a small town called Marigot. Close to Jacmel the second largest city in Haiti.

Sebastian, had an awesome time as usual, he loves the ocean. He was very happy to go to "Nemo's House". We explored a couple of beaches, went for a stroll to town and ate delicious fish and lobster the 3 days we were there. One of the typical dishes in Haiti is called Lambi (conche). I was told that was sea snail, I was all excited to have a try, just because I love snails. But it was not the type of snail I was thinking. This snail is a huge shell (lobatus gigas if you want to google it), the one with a beautiful shell that we use for decorations and to listen to the ocean sounds :). It was nice anyway, but left me with the craving of the small snail, the one that has a hard texture, just like a rubber.

Semana 40/52 // Week 40/52

I cannot believe that I have being doing this for 40 weeks now!! I am a little bit late, but I have a good excuse, our Jason is back :). After almost two months our guy is finally back. The morning he was arriving Auggie decided to go all brave and banged his head on a table. He was bleeding and got his first band aid. Sebastian was repeating, Mami, Auggie aouwi!! Sebastian's school sent a letter informing us about a halloween party at the school. This poor mother did not know what to do for a custom. I spent a whole week trying to make a dinosaur mask. In the end it was clear that it was too big to be a mask, and ended up being a whole dinosaur. Sebastian was very happy and wanted to play with rex all the time. In the end the school was closed for two days due to tropical storm Sandy. He could not use the custom for his party, but that was fine. I had a taste of what I need to do and prepare next year (in other words, I now know that I have to start like a month in advance :) ). We had a little party for Sebastian's playgroup at home, but I was so busy hosting that I did not take many pictures. Although, I found one with Arden and Sebastian being little chimps. Arden was caressing (or looking for lies like monkeys do) Sebastian head while he was lying down with his eyes closed. It was very sweet!!

No puedo creer que ya van 40 semanas subiendo las fotos de este proyecto. Ando un poco retrasada, pero tengo una buena razon. Jason esta de vuelta!!! :). Despues de casi dos meses mi chico esta de nuevo en casa. La manan de su llegada Auggie decidio hacerse el bravo y se dio un cabezaso contra la mesa de su cuarto.  Estuvo sangrando y se gano su primera curita. Sebastian repetia, mami, Auggie aoui (tiene una herida)!!. El cole del enano nos mando una carta diciendo que lo chicos iban atener una fiesta de Halloween. Esta pobre madre no sabia que disfraz ponerle. Me pase toda la semana haciendo una mascara de dinosaurio. Al final, era claro que el bicho era muy grande para ser una mascara y termino siendo un disfraz de cuerpo entero. Sebas estaba contento con el disfraz y queria todo el dia jugar con Rex. Al final, la escuela cerro por dos dias debido a la tormenta tropical "Sandy".  El chiqui no uso su disfraz en el cole, pero igual no le dio mayor importancia. Para mi fue una prueba de lo que necesito hacer para estar preparada para el proximo ano (en otras palabras, ahora se que tengo que empezar como con un mes de anticipacion). Tuvimos una fiestita con los ninos del grupo de juego de Sebastian, estuve tan ocupada haciendo de anfitriona que no me dio tiempo de tomar muchas fotos. Pero encontre una de Arden y Sebastian en la que parecen unos monos. Arden esta acariciando (o despiojando como los monos) a Sebastian en a cabeza, mientras este esta recostado con los ojos cerrados. Super lindos!!
