Week 20/52 // Semana 20/52

So many things to say, so little time to spare. I spent the weekend packing and packing and packing, with a little munchkin climbing all over the trunks and luggage. I also went to see camels, but did not take the kids because it was to hot outside. I just wanted a shot with them. Jason is still in the field (second week) and by the day I have more and more respect for those mothers who take care of their kids by themselves.

Tantas cosas que decir, tan poco tiempo que perder. Me pase el fin de semana empacando, con un pequeno roedor que se trepaba por todos los baules y maletas. Tambien fui a ver camellos. No lleve a los chicos porque estaba haciendo mucho calor. Solo queria fotografiar los camellos antes de irme. Jason sigue en el campo (segunda semana). Cada dia que pasa sin mi chico mi respeto a aquellas madres que cuidan a sus hijos solas crece mas y mas.

Week 19/52 // Semana 19/52

This week Auggie and his mom went to the south for work. A friend of mine helped me to take care of Auggie while I was working, it was a quick trip and Auggie behaved really well.

He made friends with the lady at the bar of hour hotel in Moundou. It was very funny how much fun the ladies had with him at the bar. Moundou is a place where a lot of chinese investment is happening (OIL, OIL, OIL and roads!). So, new nicer hotels are appearing here and there. We found the hotel after being rejected from our regular hotels because the chinese already took them all.

Sebastian had fun playing with the chalks his tia Sara sent to him, he was painting his body (as usual, whatever type of painting he has, he uses his body as a canvas :)).

Esta semana Auggie y su mama se fueron al sur del Chad por trabajo. Una amiga mia me ayudo a cuidar a Auggie mientras yo trabajaba. Fue un viaje rapido y el Auggie se porto muy bien.

Auggie hizo amistad inmediata con la chica que atendia el bar de nuestro hotel en Moundou. Fue gracioso ver como se divertian las chicas con el Auggie en el bar. Moundou es una ciudad donde actualmente hay mucha inversion china (Petroleo, Petroleo, Petroleo!! y Carreteras!!) Hoteles andan ahora apareciendo para  cubrir la demanda de los chinos. Encontramos nuestro hotel despues de ser repudiados en nuestros hoteles de siempre que ya habian sido tomados por trabajadores chinos.

Sebastian se divirtio jugando con las tizas que le mando su tia Sarandela. Se pintaba el cuerpo con las tizas (se pinta el cuerpo con cualquier pintura que le presentemos, usa su cuerpo como lienzo :))

Listening (for quite a while) to traditional chinese music coming from the neighbor's house on the other side of the wall. Later he will follow the music outside the house and say Mama Mama Betty, Mama Betty!!. He remembered that my mom used to do Tai chi with that music and with the neighbor.
Escuchando musica (por un buen rato) tradicional china que venia de la casa del vecino al otro lado de la pared. Luego se fue siguiendo el sonido de la musica hasta la calle y empezo a decir: Mama Betty, Mama Betty!!. EL enano se acordaba que mi mama hacia Tai Chi con esa musica y con la vecina china.

17/52 weeks / Semana 17/52

Al fin me salieron algunas fotos para Auggie. Las ultimas dos semanas sentia que las fotos habian sido mas de Sebastian, y que al pobre Auggie lo tenia relegado :(.

Igual, siguen siendo semanas locas. Jason llego del campo el Viernes en la tarde. Sebastian anda con papitis y recontra engreido. La semana proxima me toca salir a mi. Me voy con el Auggie al sur, veremos como nos va esta vez.

Esperamos que esta semana Emma, la hija de nuestros amigos Matt y Jen ya este por estos mundos. Sebastian le dedico una foto :0)

Finally I took some Auggie pictures. The last two weeks I felt that most of the pictures were about Sebastian and that poor Auggie was being forgotten :(.

Our weeks are still very crazy. Jason come back from the field on Friday afternoon. Sebastian has attachment issues with him and does not leave him alone. Next week is my turn to go to the field. I will go to the south with Auggie. We will see how it goes this time.

This week we are expecting the arrival of Emma, the daughter of our friends Matt and Jen. Sebastian has dedicated a picture to her :)

Month 6 / 6to Mes

Y el chiqui cumplio medio ano. Ahora sus pelos ya no estan tan parados. Para la foto, le mojamos el pelo y e hicimos un peinado lamido de vaca. Ya no quiere andar sentado y se movia y paraba muchisimo. Sebastian dormia mientras tomabamos las fotos :)

And little Auggie turned 6 months. Now his  hair is not that spiky. For the pictures, he wet his hair and gave him what in Spanish we call a cow's lick hairdo. He does not want to sit still anymore. he moves a lot and just wants to stand up. Sebastian was sleeping while we took the pictures

Los dias se nos pasan volando. Andamos a full con el nuevo proyecto en la oficina, trabajando fines de semana y todo. Aqui lo re-poquito que pude, pero no queria atrasarme. Auggie esta hecho un engreido, no quiere andar en la cama, solo quiere estar sentado o en los brazos de alguien. Sino llora como si lo estuvieran torturando L


Sebastian esta cada dia mas hablador, ahora responde a todo Qua? (Que? What?), y no le gusta cuando cambio la letra de la cancion de los pollitos. Dice No mama no!, oink oink chancho, pofkuewgfj (no sabe decir pollitos cambia el nombre cada vez que lo pronuncia) pio pio. Con un tono de voz muy serio. El otro dia les estaba cantando una cancion a los 3 chicos y el condenado me dice mama shhh, con su dedo tapando sus labios. Segun el estaba cantando feo L


Y asi van pasando los dias y solo nos quedan 44 dias mas en Chad. Jason se fue hoy al campo y regresa posiblemente el fin de semana, derrepente un poco antes, derrepente un poco despues.



Time is flying, we are full with the new project the office is starting up, working during weekends and everything. Here the little I could handle this week. I do not want to get behind with this project. So, at least 4 pics.  Auggie is so spoiled, he does not want to be laying anywhere, he wants to sit or in someones arms. If not, he cries bloody murder L


Sebastian is a little parrot, now he responds everything saying Qua? (Que? What?), he does not like when I change the lyrics of our chicks song. He says, No mama, no!, oink oink chancho (pig in Spanish), pofkuewgfj (he does not know how to say chicks, and changes the name every time he pronounces chick) pio pio. In a very serious tone of voice. The other day I was singing for the 3 boys, and he says shhh mama, with his finger on his mouth. According to him, my singing was not nice L


And that is how our days are going by. We just have 44 days remaining in Chad. Jason left to the field today. He might come back during the week end, maybe a little before, or a little after.

Weekly picture: He does not like to be on his back, and we did not have anything to sit him safely, so, we come up with the bucket idea. He liked it for a while, until Sebas started climbing into it too.

Week 15/52 / Semana 15/52

My weeks are super busy these days. We have a huge project in the office to respond to the food crisis in the country that is taking all our time. Jason was again in the East and I stayed with the kids in N'Djamena. Sebastian is becaming a little Tarzan. When he saw a lizard outside the house he was yelling nam nam de Bergo (Bergo's food -our dog-).

Mis semanas andan super ocupadas estos dias. Tenemos un proyecto enorme en respuesta a la crisis alimentaria en el pais que esta ocupando todo nuestro tiempo. Jason estuvo otra vez en el Este de Chad y yo me quede de nuevo con os enanos. Sebastian se esta convirtiendo en un pequeno tarzan. Cuando vio una lagartija en el patio, empezo a gritar nam nam de Bergo (La comida de Bergo -nuestro perro-).
